Does Your Accounting System Support UAE E-Invoicing? Zoho Books, Xero, Tally, Odoo, QuickBooks, Business Central and SAP
A dated comparison of what each system does for UAE e-invoicing today, who acts as the Accredited Service Provider, and what stays your job either way.
By WDF Analysts
As of 6 November 2026, three popular systems have a built-in route to UAE e-invoicing: Zoho Books and TallyPrime, whose makers are themselves Accredited Service Providers, and Xero, which works through an accredited provider at no extra cost on its main plans. Odoo, QuickBooks and Business Central have no UAE e-invoicing in their makers’ own documentation and need a third-party module or a connection to an ASP. SAP’s regional company is an accredited ASP; confirm the exact SAP scenario with SAP.
Built-in support is a real head start, but it is not the whole project. Every system still depends on your master data, and none of them covers invoices raised somewhere else. This guide shows what each system offers, then what is left for you.
UAE e-invoicing support by system
Each row comes from the vendor’s own page, linked below, and from the Ministry of Finance’s list of Accredited Service Providers (86 providers on 6 November 2026).
| System | Built-in UAE e-invoicing | Accredited Service Provider | Notes from the vendor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho Books | Yes | Zoho (Zoho Software Trading LLC) is an accredited ASP | Sends PINT AE and fetches suppliers’ e-invoices. First 100 transactions free on Professional and higher plans, then packs from AED 41 per 100. |
| Xero | Yes | Casim, an accredited ASP, selected in EmaraTax | Send and receive. No extra cost on Starter, Standard and Premium plans. |
| TallyPrime | Yes | Tally (Tally Software Solutions FZCO) is an accredited ASP | Onboarding from inside TallyPrime; report of uploaded, pending, rejected and errored e-invoices. Its FAQ still describes availability as “after the launch”, so confirm with Tally. |
| SAP (S/4HANA, ECC) | Ask SAP | SAP Middle East & North Africa LLC is on the ASP list | We did not find public SAP documentation of the UAE scenario. Partner add-ons on SAP BTP also exist. |
| Odoo | No | None from Odoo | Official UAE localisation covers VAT and corporate tax reports, not e-invoicing. Third-party apps build PINT AE XML and hand it to an ASP you contract. |
| Business Central | No | None from Microsoft | The E-Documents framework is extensible, but the UAE is not on Microsoft’s list of supported e-invoicing localisations. Partner extensions fill the gap. |
| QuickBooks | No | None from Intuit | We found no Intuit documentation of UAE e-invoicing. Connection runs through an ASP’s connector or middleware. |
Checked on 6 November 2026. Vendors are adding features quickly, so check the linked pages before you decide.
Zoho Books
Zoho states that it is an accredited eInvoicing Service Provider recognised by the UAE Ministry of Finance, and Zoho Software Trading LLC appears on the Ministry’s list. Zoho Books UAE creates invoices in PINT AE and sends them over the Peppol network, and can fetch e-invoices from your vendors. Setup is two steps: configure your organisation’s tax IDs in Zoho Books, then select Zoho as your ASP in EmaraTax. The first 100 e-invoicing transactions are free on Professional and higher plans; after that, Zoho sells packs starting at AED 41 for 100 transactions.
Xero
Xero says UAE eInvoicing is available through Xero, at no extra cost on its Starter, Standard and Premium plans. Xero is not itself on the Ministry’s list; setup runs through its Invoici platform, where you select Casim, an accredited provider, in EmaraTax. Once set up, you send and receive e-invoices from Xero. Ask about Casim’s own terms and support arrangements, because that is the company accountable for the exchange.
TallyPrime
Tally describes itself as an MoF-listed ASP for UAE e-invoicing, and Tally Software Solutions FZCO is on the Ministry’s list. You open EmaraTax from inside TallyPrime, choose Tally as your provider and receive your Peppol ID back in TallyPrime, which then reports uploaded, pending, rejected and errored e-invoices in one place. The same page’s FAQ says the solution “will be available for UAE customers after the launch”, so confirm with your Tally partner which release you need and whether it is live for you.
SAP
SAP Middle East & North Africa LLC is on the Ministry’s ASP list. We did not find public SAP documentation describing the UAE scenario for S/4HANA or ECC, and SAP partners also sell PINT AE add-ons on SAP BTP. If you run SAP, ask SAP or your SAP partner which product and release covers UAE e-invoicing, and whether it handles inbound invoices and rejection messages inside SAP.
Odoo
Odoo’s official UAE localisation documentation (version 19) covers the chart of accounts, VAT rates, the VAT return and a corporate tax report. It does not mention e-invoicing or PINT AE, and Odoo SA is not on the Ministry’s ASP list. The Odoo Apps store has third-party modules, for example one that builds PINT AE invoices, credit notes and debit notes and hands them to an ASP you contract separately. Treat any such module as part of your integration: test it against your own invoice types and check who maintains it when the specification changes.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Microsoft’s E-Documents overview lists the e-invoicing localisations Microsoft supports, including Australia and New Zealand on Peppol PINT A-NZ, Germany and Norway. The UAE is not on it; Microsoft points to partner apps for other countries. The E-Documents framework is designed to be extended, so a partner or integrator can add a PINT AE format and a connector to your ASP.
QuickBooks
We found no Intuit page describing UAE e-invoicing in QuickBooks Online or Desktop as of 6 November 2026, and Intuit is not on the Ministry’s ASP list. QuickBooks users in the UAE connect through a connector offered by an accredited provider, or a custom integration that reads invoices from QuickBooks and sends them to the provider’s API. Check that the provider behind any connector appears on the Ministry’s list.
What stays your job, whatever the system
Built-in support makes the system able to send a PINT AE invoice. It does not make your data complete. These remain yours, and they are where most first-week rejections come from:
- Buyer identifiers. A TRN or legal registration number, and the buyer’s Peppol participant identifier, for every B2B customer.
- Item data. A tax category on every line, and an HS code for goods or a service accounting code for services.
- Special transactions. The transaction type flags for free zone, deemed supply, margin scheme, summary and continuous supply, disclosed agent billing, e-commerce and exports.
- Credit notes. A reason code and the reference to the original invoice.
- Buyers not live yet. Until a buyer is on the network, the guidelines require the e-invoice to go to a predefined endpoint and a regular tax invoice as well.
The full rules behind these are in our guide to PINT AE validation rules and how to fix rejections.
When you need an integration anyway
Even with a built-in route, a custom integration is usually needed when:
- Invoices are raised outside the accounting system, in a billing platform, an operations or booking system, or bespoke software.
- Several entities run different systems and you want one process, or one provider, across them.
- You prefer a different provider from the one built into your accounting system, for price, support or group-wide reasons.
- You want validation before submission and rejections routed back into the system that issued the invoice.
- Inbound volume is high and supplier e-invoices should post into accounts payable without re-keying.
If you have not yet chosen a provider, our guide to choosing a UAE e-invoicing ASP covers the Ministry’s own selection criteria. If you have, and your go-live is 1 January 2027, start with our eight-week go-live plan.
Five questions to ask your accounting vendor
- Which release and plan do we need, and is UAE e-invoicing live for customers today?
- Who is the Accredited Service Provider, and is it on the Ministry of Finance list?
- Do we receive suppliers’ e-invoices in the system, or only send?
- Where do rejection and confirmation messages appear, and who is told?
- What does it cost per transaction after any free allowance?
Where we fit
We are not an ASP and we do not resell accounting software. We build the integration between your systems and your chosen provider when built-in support does not cover everything: invoices from other systems, multiple entities, pre-submission validation and rejection handling. If your invoicing runs on a custom or older system, our operations software work covers that side too.
Accounting system questions
Does QuickBooks support UAE e-invoicing?
Not natively, as far as we could find on 6 November 2026. Intuit has published no UAE e-invoicing feature and is not on the Ministry of Finance list of Accredited Service Providers. QuickBooks users connect through a connector or middleware offered by an accredited provider, or a custom integration to the provider’s API.
Is Zoho an Accredited Service Provider for UAE e-invoicing?
Yes. Zoho Software Trading LLC is on the Ministry of Finance list of Accredited Service Providers, and Zoho Books UAE can send PINT AE e-invoices over the Peppol network and fetch suppliers’ e-invoices. You select Zoho as your ASP in EmaraTax after configuring your tax IDs in Zoho Books.
Does Odoo support UAE e-invoicing?
Not in Odoo’s own UAE localisation, which covers VAT and corporate tax reporting. Third-party modules on the Odoo Apps store generate PINT AE XML and pass it to an Accredited Service Provider you contract separately. Odoo SA is not on the Ministry’s ASP list.
Does Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central support UAE e-invoicing?
Not as a Microsoft localisation. Microsoft lists supported e-invoicing localisations for countries such as Australia, Germany and Norway, but not the UAE; it points to partner apps on the Marketplace for other countries. Business Central’s E-Documents framework can be extended by a partner or an integrator to produce PINT AE and connect to an ASP.
If our accounting system supports e-invoicing, do we still need integration work?
Often, yes. Built-in support covers invoices raised in that system. It does not fix missing customer TRNs or participant identifiers, add goods and service codes to your items, or cover invoices raised in other software such as a billing platform, an operations system or a second entity on a different ERP.
Vendor details were checked against each vendor’s own published pages and the Ministry of Finance provider list on 6 November 2026. Features and prices change; confirm them with the vendor before you rely on them.
